This exceptional crucifix represents the pinnacle of French liturgical craftsmanship from the Art Deco period. Produced by the prestigious foundry F. Jaques et Frères in the 1930s, it combines a finely cast bronze corpus with a pateraki (palisander) wood cross — a rare and elegant material choice that sets this piece apart.

The bronze Christ figure bears the foundry's signature impressed on the base, while the reverse of the corpus is stamped with the model number 7111, confirming its authenticity and origin. The cross has been carefully dismantled and cleaned by our conservator, while the bronze has been treated with minimal intervention to preserve its original, warm patina — a testament to its age and authenticity.
