A provocative conceptual work titled "Il Codice dell'Oltre", created by Italian artist Diego Casella. The piece transforms an official blank Certificate of Authenticity into a field of energetic creation, subverting the very document meant to certify art.
Executed in Burnt Sienna ink (Terra di Siena), the composition unfolds through sweeping elliptical vortices that occupy the blank spaces intended for official metadata. Instead of filling in traditional dimensions and dates, the artist has inscribed the prophetic projection "3001" in the lower-left area, projecting the artwork’s identity a millennium forward.
The reverse side is deliberately subtle: the ink lines are only lightly visible, keeping the focus on the upside-down institutional text. Presented in a traditional frame, the work embraces a "vedo non vedo" (now-you-see-it, now-you-don’t) effect. The reversed text and the faint ghostly silhouette of the layout remain hidden against the wall — an exclusive structural secret known only to the collector.

ARTIST NOTE
Diego Casella is an Italian artist born in Piacenza in 1954. After the early loss of his young wife, herself a gifted artist, he left Italy and spent many years travelling and working across different countries. During this long period of movement and reflection he continued to develop a deeply personal artistic language rooted in European painting traditions and symbolic imagery. Today his work reflects a lifelong search for meaning, memory, and inner vision.
