Stunning vintage Japanese fine porcelain coffee (demitasse) service for 6, dating back to the 1950s (Mid-Century period).
This 13-piece set is a traditional example of Dragonware. The cups feature a rich and vibrant decoration, highlighting the unique beauty of hand-painted craftsmanship, complete with the minor manufacturing imperfections typical of 1950s artisanal production.
The decoration is entirely hand-painted, showcasing a distinctive white dragon wrapped around each piece using the famous moriage technique (raised, 3D relief texture). The color palette delivers a powerful visual impact, with a vibrant coral orange background contrasted by matte black bands and rich gold gilt accents.
The service includes a beautiful matching sugar bowl with its lid and an authentic, original woven bamboo handle. The bottom of each piece bears the vintage red export backstamp with a dragon and the words "Fine China".

CONDITION
The pieces are in excellent vintage condition for their age. No chips, cracks, or hairline fractures detected on the porcelain. The raised moriage details are beautifully preserved. As these are hand-painted items from the 1950s, minor manufacturing irregularities and normal age-related wear to the gold trim may be present, which only confirms their authentic artisanal history.
