A Rare Materic Serigraph — Bruno Cassinari (1966)

A fine graphic edition in reduced format, linked to Cassinari's floral series of 1966 — the period when the artist, in full maturity, turned to a new "poetic and personal realism" with subjects such as sunflowers, roosters, flowers, and pomegranates .‌ In 1966, Cassinari held a solo exhibition at the Bergamini gallery in Milan, presenting works on the theme of flowers for the first time . That same year, he painted "Rose" (oil on canvas) . This serigraph belongs to that fertile period.‌‌ Bruno Cassinari (1912–1992) was one of the most important Italian painters of the post-war period, a member of the Corrente group and a recipient of the Gran Premio della Pittura Italiana at the 1952 Venice Biennale.
