A raw and powerful conceptual artwork titled "Consensus 2026", created by designer Diego Casella upon his return from the international event of the same name in Miami.
This work represents the pure transmission of the artist’s thought, rejecting the complexity of digital interfaces in favor of the physical gesture. Executed entirely freehand in red ballpoint pen (biro) on a common sheet of photocopy paper (A4), the work transforms a humble everyday support into a manifesto of intellectual independence.
The composition is dominated by the word "Miami" in monumental cursive, whose final letter "i" dynamically merges with the artist’s signature, creating an indissoluble bond between identity and the technological confrontation place. The presence of the initials "AI" / "IA" and the two large hypnotic eyes watching over the diagonal of "Consensus 2026" declares a conceptual co-authorship between man and machine, mediated by the analog mark. The pressure of the biro on the paper leaves a physical scar — a guarantee of manual authenticity that defies any digital cloning.

ARTIST NOTE
Diego Casella is an Italian artist born in Piacenza in 1954. After the early loss of his young wife, herself a gifted artist, he left Italy and spent many years travelling and working across different countries. During this long period of movement and reflection he continued to develop a deeply personal artistic language rooted in European painting traditions and symbolic imagery. Today his work reflects a lifelong search for meaning, memory, and inner vision.
