A Space Age Design Piece — Akai APR100WE
A beautiful and eye-catching portable radio, the Akai APR100WE, featuring a unique Space Age / "space capsule" aesthetic. With its sculpted glossy white body, elegant silver finishes, and a solid fixed chrome handle that integrates perfectly into the aerodynamic line, this object is not just a functional radio — it is a genuine display piece of design.
The front is dominated by a geometric perforated grille protecting the audio system and a glossy black panel for analog tuning, enriched by a green LED power indicator. The retractable telescopic antenna is in perfect condition and folds fluidly into the top compartment. On the left side are the convenient analog wheels for volume (with ON/OFF function) and tuning, while on the right side is the band selector and headphone jack.
An ideal object for giving a retro-futuristic touch to a kitchen, an office, or a collection of mid-century modern design.
