An Ultra-Rare Mid-Century Gem — Federal AM Pocket Radio (1960s) Up for sale is an ultra-rare, vintage mid-1960s Federal "Solid State" pocket transistor radio. This specific variant is an exceptional piece of industrial history, manufactured in Hong Kong during the British Crown Colony era, featuring a distinctive and incredibly stylish color palette.
KEY AESTHETIC & TECHNICAL FEATURES

PROVENANCE NOTE FOR COLLECTORS
This exceptional piece was originally imported from the British Crown Colony of Hong Kong to Northern Europe (Belgium) during the mid-1960s — a golden era when the Benelux market received cutting-edge Asian electronics before many other regions. Kept in a protected environment for over 50 years, it features beautiful crisp lettering, a stunning mirror-chrome front grille, and its original fitted carrying sleeve. A museum-grade export piece for serious US transistor collectors.
COSMETIC CONDITION
Excellent vintage condition. The body is solid, the transparent wheel turns smoothly, and the lettering remains crisp and bright. Some signs of time are present (see photos), but the original carrying sleeve protects the radio beautifully. The photos show the radio without the sleeve to reveal its actual condition. A stunning display or active listening piece for high-end retro desks or design galleries.
