Clocks & Music boxes

Mechanical music boxes, musical carousels, jewellery boxes with dancing ballerinas, and alarm and table clocks from the 1920s to the 1990s. Many play on Swiss Reuge or Japanese Sankyo movements; others come from Italian, German or Japanese makers.

These are objects with moving parts, so each listing says whether the movement works and which tune it plays, where the seller knows. Inlaid wood, lacquer, silver plate and hand-painted figures are shown in the seller's own photographs.

A music box is the rare antique you can hear. If you want to know what it plays or how long it runs on one winding, ask the seller on Artmire before you buy.
