Where the waybill goes, and what the buyer sees the moment you add it.
Adding the tracking number is the one thing only you can do. Until it is there the buyer has paid and can see nothing at all, and nothing about the delivery can move.
An email arrives when an item sells — You have a new sold item on Artmire that you need to ship — and a red number appears on Orders in your shop menu.
That number counts paid orders with no tracking number yet. It is the one figure on Artmire that is nobody's responsibility but yours, and adding the number is what clears it.
Orders is split into five tabs, each with its own count beside the name. The first two are about getting a parcel out of the door:
Adding a tracking number moves the parcel out of New on its own, and the counts on the tabs change with it. There is nothing to filter and nothing to reset. The tab you leave open is the one you come back to.
The three tabs after those — Delivered, Payout due and Payout received — are about the money rather than the parcel, and nothing on them asks anything of you. Add tracking disappears once a parcel has arrived, because a waybill added then tracks nothing.
Add tracking on an order row opens the form. It appears only once the order is paid, and it asks for two things.
You get one attempt. Once saved, you cannot change or remove a tracking number — the button disappears and the field is closed to you. Read it back against the label before you press Save. If it does go in wrong, write to us and we will correct it.
That rule looks harsh and is deliberate: a number that changes after the buyer has been watching it is worse than one that is visibly wrong.
There is no confirmation message — the row simply changes and the parcel button goes. That is what success looks like.
The buyer is emailed straight away — your parcel is on its way, with the carrier and the tracking number — and they are emailed again when it is delivered. You are not emailed at either point; the status on your Orders page is where to look.
The most common refusal is the carrier not being recognised from the number alone. The answer is the same every time: choose the carrier explicitly and save again.
A number that is accepted but never picks up any scan usually shows as Not found. That is either a mistyped number or a parcel not yet handed over — check the label, and if it is right, wait. First scans commonly take a few hours after the parcel is actually accepted at the counter.
Every status after Info received comes from the carrier's own scans. Nothing about it is typed by you, by the buyer or by Artmire:
Nobody marks a parcel delivered by hand — not you, not the buyer, not Artmire. It is the carrier's scan, which is also why the delivered time can trail the doorstep by a few hours.
Everything on that screen is read-only apart from adding the number. There is no way to mark a delivery, correct a date or reopen one.
The buyer is emailed that it has been delivered, and invited to review you. You are not emailed, so if you want to know a parcel landed, the status on your Orders page is where to look.
