Reading your Orders page — and knowing when to stop looking at it.
Orders in your account lists everything you have started buying, whether or not you finished paying. It is a record of payments, not of parcels — once an order is paid, what happens next is in Deliveries.
This surprises people who expect a long chain of stages, so it is worth saying plainly:
There is no "shipped" or "delivered" status here. Everything after payment is tracked per parcel in Deliveries, which is why an order sits at Paid for good and never changes again.
The page is split in two, with a count beside each name — and they are the same two states as above:
Paying an order moves it from one tab to the other by itself, and both counts change with it. Inside a tab the newest come first, ten to a page. The tab you leave open is the one you come back to.
The tab says Completed while the Status column on the row says Paid. They mean the same thing: the tab describes where you are in the purchase, the status is the flag on the order itself.
Paying for a group from your shopping cart still creates one order per item, but they are shown together under a Shopping Cart Order heading naming the seller, with the payment's total and its status on that heading row.
The individual items are listed beneath it with their own dates. So one cart payment reads as one block containing several orders — which is exactly what it is.
That heading row carries the group's Checkout button, and it is the only way to pay for a cart group: the items under it have a Delete but no Pay of their own. Checkout re-reads your cart as it stands at that moment, so anything you have added or removed since is taken into account.
Which buttons a row carries depends on whether it has been paid:
On a phone the page shows what will fit — the item, the amount and the status — and the buttons move to their own line under each order, with Checkout under the cart heading. Quantity, Created and Paid on are on the wider screen only; nothing is lost, and the same order looks fuller on a laptop.
A paid order cannot be changed or deleted, deliberately: it is the record of a real payment, and the seller, the delivery and the payout all hang off it. Its buttons go to the delivery and, once that has arrived, to reviewing the seller — because those are the only things still to happen to it. If something is wrong with a paid order, the way out is the seller and their returns policy.
The item's title stays a link on every row, paid or not, so the listing itself is always one click away.
Leaving an order at Pending does nothing for you. The item stays on sale, the price is not locked in your favour beyond what is already recorded on the order, and someone else can buy it. If you want it, the only step that secures it is paying.
Once the status turns green, this page has told you all it can. Go to Deliveries for the parcel itself — that is where the seller's tracking number appears, where the carrier's progress is shown, and where you leave the seller a review once it has arrived.
An unpaid order can be holding some of your Artmire credit. If you ticked Use TopUp Credit and stopped before paying, that credit has already left your balance and the order is holding it — the order line tells you how much. Paying the order spends it; deleting the order gives it straight back.
